Can you tell me more about the incident?

Network Rail and the emergency services are working to assist a person near the railway. They are making sure this is done as quickly and safely as possible.

Until they can confirm that everyone's clear of the track and it's safe for trains to run at their normal speeds, train drivers will be stopped on approach to the area and asked to proceed more slowly than usual. This does take extra time, so your journey is likely to have a delay.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
