Description

A safety inspection of the track between Sheffield and Stockport means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 17:30.

Engineers are on site to fix the issue.

Services on the following route may be delayed, cancelled or revised in both directions:

  • Cleethorpes and Liverpool Lime Street


Some services may divert via alternative routes. Any services that divert will not call at Stockport.

  • TransPennine Express services between Leeds / Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly

  • Northern services between Sheffield and Huddersfield

  • Northern between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street
