Description

A fault with the signalling system at Clapham Junction means some lines are currently closed. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes, revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Engineers are on their way to site.

Until further notice, the following alterations are necessary:

  • Services between London Waterloo to Shepperton services will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Fulwell, calling additionally at Twickenham and Strawberry Hill in both directions

  • All services from London Waterloo to Wimbledon will not call at Vauxhall and Earlsfield

  • All services from Wimbledon to London Waterloo will not call at Earlsfield, Clapham Junction and Vauxhall


Ticket acceptance:

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • Great Western services from London Paddington, Basingstoke, Reading and Exeter St Davids, also between Reading and Guildford

  • Southern services between Epsom and Dorking in both directions

London Underground:

  • London Underground District line from Wimbledon towards Westminster, change at Westminster via Jubilee line for London Waterloo or change at Embankment via Bakerloo or Northern line for London Waterloo.

  • London Underground services between Richmond and London Waterloo

  • Victoria line between London Victoria and Vauxhall Station

Buses services:

  • London Buses between Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Kingston, Surbiton

Because your journey has been heavily disrupted, you can book your own taxi and claim the cost back through the South Western Railway website. This applies to travel between any stations served by South Western Railway between London Waterloo, Dorking, Chessington South, Dorking, Hampton Court, and Surbiton. You will need to provide the following details to make a claim:

  • Your full details.

  • The time and date of your journey

  • The stations you travelled to and from

  • A detailed description of the series of events that took place.

  • Copies of your train ticket(s) and taxi receipt.
