Description

Animals on the railway between Claygate and Oxshott mean that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run between Surbiton and Effingham Junction and will be revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until 11:00.

Customer advice:

Response teams are on their way to site. It is not yet known know when the lines are expected to reopen.

Impact on train services-Suburban:

• London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will be diverted after Wimbledon to run via Epsom and will not call at Surbiton, Hinchley Wood, Clayagte, Oxshott and Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon in both directions

These services will not call at Surbiton, Hinchley Wood, Claygate, Oxshott, or Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon in either directions.

Journeys may be cancelled, delayed, or revised

Disruption is expected until 11:00.

Long Distance & Mainline services:

These services remain fully operational and are not affected by this disruption.

• Falcon Buses on the following routes:

  • 408 between Oxshott, Cobham and Leatherhead

  • 479 between Epsom, Ashtead, Leatherhead, Bookham, Effingham Village, Horsley, Clandon and Guildford

  • 715 between Kingston, Thames Ditton, Surbiton, Esher, Hinchley Wood, Cobham and Guildford

• London Buses on the routes between Raynes Park, Surbiton and Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon

• White Bus services 462 and 463 between Woking, Clandon and Guildford
  

How to get to your destination?

You can continue to travel through the affected area by replacement transport or buses, but please allow extra time for your journey due to the severe delays and alterations to services.

The lines between Hinchley Wood and Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon are currently blocked.

If you are travelling to Hinchley Wood, Claygate, Oxshott, or Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon, please travel to Surbiton or Epsom and change there for local buses or London Buses to reach these destinations.

You can also travel to Surbiton or Effingham Junction, where a replacement bus service will operate in both directions to Hinchley Wood, Claygate, Oxshott, and Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon.
