Description
Some lines have now reopened following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Huddersfield / Brighouse and Leeds / Wakefield Kirkgate. Some lines are still blocked and trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 11:30.

Northern customer advice:
The line from Dewsbury towards Halifax has now reopened and trains are able to run normally; however, services may still be subject to delays and cancellations whilst the service recovers.
A train shuttle service is running between Dewsbury and Leeds (in both directions).
Northern services between Manchester Victoria and Leeds via Bradford Interchange are able to run normally.
What should I do?
You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
Road transport:
Road transport has been arranged to run with J&B Travel as follows:
08:30 Leeds to Halifax, calling at all stations via Dewsbury.
08:45 Halifax to Leeds, calling at all stations via Dewsbury.
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
Journey times will be extended whilst travelling by road transport.

Scarborough-Manchester Piccadily services and Redcar Central-Manchester Airport services will terminate and restart at York
Manchester Piccadilly-York (stopper services) will be cancelled
