Description

Lines have now reopened following a points failure between Reading and Didcot Parkway.

As services start returning to normal, trains between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket on the following at no extra cost:

  • Elizabeth line between London Paddington and Reading

  • South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading

  • London Underground between London Waterloo and London Paddington

  • Reading Buses skyblue 16: Reading (Station Road), Reading West (Oxford Road), Tilehurst (Kentwood Circle)

During this disruption if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting Great Western Railway tickets please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to us to claim for a refund.
