Description

Lines have now reopened following a fire near near the railway at Ealing Broadway. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals / Reading may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Elizabeth line customer advice:

Tickets will be accepted on the following routes at no extra cost:

  • Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading (please note they are also disrupted and their services have different calling patterns)

  • Local buses between London Paddington, Heathrow Airport and Reading

  • London Underground via any reasonable route

  • South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading (please note due to engineering works there are no direct services running between London Waterloo and Reading today, to / from London Waterloo you will be required to change trains at Clapham Junction)

If you are travelling to / from Heathrow Airport you can use the London Underground Piccadilly line, which runs from central London to Heathrow Terminals.

Please allow for short notice alterations and platform changes and listen to Elizabeth line station announcements or ask a member of staff for further information.

  • CrossCountry between Reading and Oxford

  • Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Oxford

  • London Underground Bakerloo line services between London Paddington, London Marylebone and London Waterloo

  • South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading (please note due to engineering works there are no direct services running between London Waterloo and Reading today, to / from London Waterloo you will be required to change trains at Clapham Junction)

You can also use your tickets dated today to travel tomorrow, Monday 12 January, at no extra cost.
