Description

A failure of the electricity supply between London Waterloo and Wimbledon means some lines are disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Suburban Services

Trains from Dorking, Guildford via Epsom, Strawberry Hill, Chessington South, and Hampton Court will run non‑stop between Raynes Park and London Waterloo. These services are also expected to be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Trains between Guildford via Cobham and Woking via Esher will run non‑stop between Surbiton and London Waterloo. These services are also expected to be delayed by up to 30 minutes

Windsor & Reading Services

Trains to and from Shepperton and London Waterloo will be diverted between Fulwell and Clapham Junction, calling additionally at Twickenham and Strawberry Hill in both directions.

Long Distance & Mainline Services

Trains from Weymouth, Bournemouth, Basingstoke, Exeter St Davids, Alton, and Portsmouth that are scheduled to stop at Clapham Junction will no longer call at this station. These services are also expected to be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

How do I get to my destination?

Services towards London Waterloo may not call at Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction and Vauxhall. You should travel to London Waterloo and change platforms for a service in the opposite direction that will call at stations in the direction of Wimbledon.

To assist customers with their journey, South Western Railway tickets will be accepted on the following routes in all directions:

  • Southern railway services between London Victoria and Epsom and Dorking

  • Thameslink services between London Blackfriars and Wimbledon

  • London Underground:

    • Northern Line between Embankment and Morden in both directions

    • District Line between Wimbledon and Blackfriars

  • London Buses between Esher, Surbiton, Kingston, Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo.
