South Western Railway services in the Clapham Junction area

Description

A speed restriction over a defective track between Clapham Junction and Earlsfield means that trains have to tun at reduced speed on some lines towards Wimbledon.

As a result, South Western Railway services operating in the Clapham Junction area may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

A track defect has been reported between Clapham Junction and Earlsfield. Until further notice, trains have to run at 20mph over the affected area on one of the two lines towards Wimbledon.

Services affected:

Suburban services

Trains between London Waterloo and Chessington South, Guildford via Epsom, Dorking & Hampton Court may be subject to delay or last minute alterations.

Trains between London Waterloo and Woking via Esher & Guildford via Cobham may also be subject to delays, and until further notice will run non-stop between London Waterloo and Surbiton.

Windsor & Reading services

Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton and Strawberry Hill via Kingston may be subject to delay or last minute alterations

Bus Services:

London Buses on routes between London Waterloo – Clapham Junction – Wimbledon – Raynes Park – Surbiton – Chessington South – Hampton Court – Motspur Park – Worcester Park – Epsom – Leatherhead – Dorking in both directions.

Trains Services:

London Underground between London Waterloo and Wimbledon / Richmond in both directions.
