Description

There is a safety inspection of the track between Eastbourne and Lewes meaning the line towards Lewes is blocked. As a result, services running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:45.

Customer advice

No trains can run between Eastbourne and Lewes until further notice. You will need to use an alternative route to reach your destination.

You should allow at least an additional 60 minutes to complete your journey today.

How are Southern changing their service?

While this disruption is ongoing, we will be making the following changes to services:

• Trains that normally run between Ore and Brighton are cancelled

• Trains that normally run between Eastbourne and Brighton will only run between Lewes and Brighton

• Trains that normally run between Ore and London Victoria will only run between Ore and Eastbourne

The following stations will not be served by Southern services until further notice:

• Polegate

• Berwick

• Glynde

How do I get from Eastbourne to London?

From Eastbourne you can travel to Hastings direct on a Southern Train. From Hastings you can catch a Southeastern service direct to London Bridge. Southern have London Underground ticket acceptance to help you travel between London terminals

Can I use my ticket with another operator?

You can travel on the following services at no additional cost;

• Brighton & Hove Bus 28 - Brighton, Moulsecoomb (Brighton University), Falmer, Lewes, Polegate and Eastbourne

• London Underground services between all London terminals including London Victoria and London Bridge

• Alternative Southern services between Hastings, Eastbourne and London

• Southeastern services between Hastings, Tonbridge and London Bridge
