Description

The emergency services have safely carried out their work and lines between Polegate and Eastbourne have reopened.

While service recovers, trains to / from Eastbourne may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes, or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Customer advice:

You may need to change trains to complete your journey and allow at least 40 minutes extra time to travel.

Trains have been delayed by at least 40 minutes and may terminate at earlier stations than usual.

Tickets are being accepted at no extra cost on alternative Southern services between Ashford International and Brighton/Haywards Heath.
