Can you tell me more about the incident?

Unfortunately, operators have been advised of a problem with the power supply to the signalling equipment. This means that trains can't move as normal, as a fully-working electricity supply is crucial to detecting and controlling the trains.

Operators are working closely with Network Rail and local electricity suppliers to make sure the power is restored. Until this is done, delays and changes to services are expected in the area.

Normally, the signalling equipment has various backup power supplies available, so staff will be investigating whether it's possible to re-route the power and return to a normal service.

If you're on a train which is delayed in the area, it may take longer for us to get you to the next station, and onwards to your destination. Please listen out for information from the crew or contact us on social media if you need further support with your journey.
