Great Western Railway between Cardiff Central / Barnstaple / Paignton / Exeter St Davids and Exmouth

Description

A safety inspection of the track between Topsham and Exmouth means the line is closed. As a result, trains will not run between these stations.

Some trains may also terminate / start at St James Park.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Tuesday 24 February.

Customer advice:

Trains will not call at Exton, Lympstone Commando, Lympstone Village or Exmouth until the safety inspection is complete.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following Stagecoach routes:

  • 57: Exeter (Bus Station), Topsham (Station), Exton (Stop on A376), Lympstone (Stop on A376), Exmouth (Parade)

  • 58 /58A Exeter (Bus Station), Digby & Sowton (Park & Ride), Exmouth (Strand)

  • H: Exeter (St David's), Exeter (Central), Digby & Sowton (Station)

  • I, J: Exeter (High St), Polsloe Bridge (Tarbet Ave), Digby, Newcourt (Newcourt Way), Exeter (High St)

Rail replacement taxis, have been confirmed to run.

Additional information:

There is a breach to the sea wall in the Lympstone area. Network Rail will work to repair the damage tomorrow.
