Description

Following severe weather brought by Storm Goretti, the line between Truro and Falmouth Docks remains closed today.

Services between these stations are unable to run and will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement buses will operate between Truro and Falmouth Docks. These will operate to mirror the train service but may suffer from delay due to additional running time on roads.

To assist you with your journey, you cam use your ticket on the following services, at no extra cost:

  • First Bus T1 between Penzance (Station), St Erth (Station), Hayle (Viaduct), Camborne (Bus Station), Redruth (Station) and Truro (Station)

  • First Bus T2 between St Ives (Bus Station), Carbis Bay (Boskerris Road), Lelant (Village Hall), Hayle (Viaduct), Camborne (Bus Station), Redruth (Station) and Truro (Station)

  • First Bus U1 between Truro (Bus Station), Penryn (Station) and Falmouth (The Moor)

  • First Bus U2 between Redruth (Station), Penryn (Station) and Falmouth (The Moor)

  • Transport for Cornwall 36 between Truro (Bus Station), Perranwell (Station)

  • Transport for Cornwall 60 between Falmouth Circular, connecting the The Moor to Falmouth Town

There is a tree blocking road access to Falmouth Docks station, buses will use the local bus stop on Castle Drive.

You will be able to use any tickets from 8 January at no additional cost on Great Western Railway services up to and including Monday 12 January. Alternatively, if you are unable to travel, you can claim a free refund for your tickets.

Additional information:

Storm Goretti hit the UK which brought strong winds to South West England. This has damaged signalling systems and resulted in a number of fallen trees.
