Between Truro and Falmouth Docks

Description

More trains than usual needing repair means that fewer trains than normal are able to run between Truro and Falmouth Docks.

As a result, Great Western Railway will be running a reduced service between these stations and services will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

What has happened?

Unfortunately one of the two trains due to operate on the Falmouth Branch today is unable to run and requires maintenance.

What are Great Western Railway doing about it?

They will be operating an hourly service on the branch due to this issue instead of an half hourly service.

What are your options?

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
