Description

Lines have reopened following an earlier road vehicle colliding with a bridge in the Freshford area. Whilst service recovers, trains running between Bath Spa and Westbury may still be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 17:45.

Customer advice:

Great Western Railway have been informed that a vehicle has struck a bridge in the Freshford area. The bridge had to be examined to make sure it’s safe and any debris cleared.

Cardiff Central, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, Freshford, Avoncliff, Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea will not be served.

    • 87: Trowbridge (Town Bridge), Westbury (Station)

    • X34: Chippenham (Bus station), Melksham (McDonalds), Trowbridge (Town Bridge), Frome (Market Place)

  • CrossCountry services between Southampton Central and Reading

  • South Western Railway services:

    • between Salisbury and Basingstoke

    • Portsmouth Harbour and Westbury via Southampton Central, Fareham, Eastleigh and Salisbury
