Description

A points failure between Westbury and Frome means that the line is blocked. Trains running between Westbury and Weymouth via Castle Cary and Yeovil Pen Mill may be revised or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 13:30.

Customer advice:

Network Rail need to carry out repairs to a set of points between Westbury and Frome. Points allow trains to move from one line to another. Until the repair is carried out trains cannot run from Westbury towards Frome.

Trains from Frome towards Westbury are unaffected.

Trains from Westbury that would pass through Frome will not stop there and will use an alternative route. Trains that would terminate at Frome will not run from Westbury, meaning some services that would start at Frome will not run.

If you are travelling to Frome and the train is no longer stopping there please change at Westbury. Replacement taxis have been arranged to take you to Frome.

If you are at Frome travelling towards Weymouth, taxis have been arranged to pick up from the front of the station and will drop you off at the station you require between Frome and Weymouth.
