Description

The broken down train in the Gainsborough Lea Road area has now moved, allowing trains to run again on the line towards Lincoln. Whilst a normal timetable is reinstated, trains between Doncaster / Retford and Lincoln may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 14:30.

Replacement road transport:

Rail replacement transport is running between Retford and Lincoln in both directions to help with your journey. This will be operated by Wyatts and Hammonds.

Please be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport. Journey times may be extended by up to 30 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.

Ticket acceptance / easements:

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost, on East Midlands Railway services between Nottingham and Sheffield / Lincoln.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
