Can you tell me more about the incident?
A landslip has been reported in the Ockley area this evening, which is expected to impact trains running between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria tomorrow, Saturday 24 January.
Currently, the information from the site of the landslip suggests that extensive repairs are needed. Until these are done, it won't be possible to run trains through the affected area.
Network Rail are working to assess the full situation, as they manage the railway infrastructure. This message will be updated with further details.
Landslips can happen for a number of reasons, including severe weather. Areas at risk of landslips are monitored proactively to make sure the track is safe, and reports are also received from train crews of any risks to the railway.
