Between Reading and Gatwick Airport

Description

More trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Reading and Gatwick Airport means that fewer trains are able to run between these stations. As a result, trains will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Several trains operating between Reading and Gatwick Airport have failed and there are no spare trains available.

You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:

  • Elizabeth line between Reading and Farringdon

  • London Underground between London Paddington and London Victoria / London Waterloo

  • South Western Railway between Reading and Clapham Junction / London Waterloo, and also between Guildford / Dorking (Main) and London Waterloo

  • Thameslink between Farringdon and Gatwick Airport via Redhill

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
