Between Moorgate and Stevenage

Description

A fire next to the track in the Gordon Hill area means that all lines between Bowes Park and Stevenage are blocked. As a result, trains between Finsbury Park and Stevenage via Gordon Hill may be cancelled.

This is expected until 14:00.

Customer advice:

Trains that normally run between Stevenage and Moorgate via Hertford North will now run via Welwyn Garden City. This means that the below stations will not received a train service until further notice.

  • Watton-at-Stone

  • Arriva Buses on route 724 between St Albans City and Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, and Hertford North

  • Uno Buses on route 242 between Hatfield, Welham Green, Brookmans Park, Potters Bar, and Cuffley

How can I complete my journey?

London buses:

  • Route 456 from Crews Hill station to Enfield Town (for London Overground to London Liverpool Street), Enfield Chase station, and Winchmore Hill station / Victoria Road, which is a short distance from Silver Street station and connections to London Overground services towards London Liverpool Street

  • Route W8 from Gordon Hill station bus stop B to Enfield Town / Genotin Road (roughly a 10-minute bus journey), which is a short distance from Enfield Town station and connections to London Overground services towards London Liverpool Street

  • Route W9 from Grange Park station stop B to Southgate Station, to connect to the London Underground Piccadilly line. Alternatively, travel from stop A to Enfield Town / Church Street (roughly a 5-minute bus journey), which is a short distance from Enfield Town station for London Overground connections to London Liverpool Street

Arriva buses:

  • Route 724 between Hertford North, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield where you can connect with alternative Thameslink or Great Northern services to your destination
