Between Exeter Central and Barnstaple
Description
Recent adverse weather as a result of Storm Chandra has caused flooding between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple.
This means that trains on the route between Crediton and Barnstaple, are unable to operate, and have been cancelled.
Services can now run between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton, and also between Exeter St Davids and Crediton.
This is expected to continue until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
The flood water still has not yet receded between Crediton and Barnstaple, and much of the surrounding area is under water.
A limited return coach service is in operation between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple. This service will be a full sized coach, which is less seats compared to the train service.
Please check online journey planners for the timings of the the rail replacement services.
There are train services running between Exeter St Davids and Crediton, you should only use these if your destination is Crediton. If your destination is beyond Crediton you should use the rail replacement transport from Exeter St Davids.
Ticket acceptance:
If you wish to drive to Tiverton Parkway, you may use your ticket at no extra cost on Great Western Railway services between Tiverton Parkway and Exeter St Davids, in both directions.

5 between Exeter Central (New North Road), Newton St Cyres (Belluno) and Crediton (Station Cross)

5B between Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road and Barnstaple
5C between Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road and Lapford
