Customer advice:
Overview:
There are points failures at Hackney Downs and Harlow Town, which are disrupting services. Response teams from Network Rail will be attending both to investigate and rectify.
Points allow trains to move from one line to another, similar to changing lanes in a car or a slip road at a junction.
Furthermore, safety checks to the railway are required in the Tottenham Hale area on the line towards Cheshunt.
Service impact:
All trains at Hackney Downs, from London, are required to run through platform 4 until Network Rail attend overnight to repair the points
All trains at Tottenham Hale, from London, will run at a slower and safer speed through the area until the safety checks have been carried out
