Description

Emergency engineering work is taking place in the Hanwell area, closing some lines from approximately 22:00 until the end of service.

From 21:00, trains running between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport / Reading may be cancelled or revised. West Ealing and Hanwell stations will not be served after 22:00.

Late night services on the Greenford branch line are also disrupted.

You are advised to check your journey in full before you travel.

Elizabeth line customer advice:

No trains will call at West Ealing and Hanwell after approximately 22:00 until the end of service.

To help you complete your journey, after 22:00 you can use your ticket at no extra cost on London Buses between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals.

Please expect to travel from different platforms than usual, especially at Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes & Harlington. Listen to Elizabeth line station announcements or ask a member of staff for further information.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

Some services towards London Paddington will terminate and start back at Reading.

Alternative Great Western Railway services will be available between London Paddington and Reading and from 21:00 you can also use your ticket at no extra cost on Elizabeth line services. Please note that from 22:00 no trains will serve West Ealing and Hanwell.

The 21:45 West Ealing to Greenford and 22:03 Greenford to London Paddington services will not run.

You are advised to use London Underground Central line services or local buses to complete your journey. Tickets will be accepted on these alternatives at no extra cost.

Heathrow Express customer advice:

After 22:00:

• London Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 5 services will depart at xx:25 and xx:55 only

• Heathrow Terminal 5 to London Paddington services will depart at xx:27 and xx:57 only

Additional information:

Network Rail engineers have advised there is a section of track in the Hanwell area which requires urgent repair overnight for safety reasons. As a result, 2 out of the 4 lines between London Paddington & Hayes and Harlington will be closed from 22:00. Cancellations and alterations are expected as a result and West Ealing and Hanwell will not be served. The work is expected to be completed before the start of service tomorrow, Thursday 28 August.
