Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system in the Eaglescliffe area.

As services begin their return to normal, trains running between Sunderland and Darlington / Middlesbrough / Northallerton, and also between Darlington and Middlesbrough may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
