Description

Following a fault on a train between Haywards Heath and Brighton, all lines towards Brighton have now reopened. Whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:45.

Customer advice:

Trains can now run between Haywards Heath and Brighton again. You can now travel on your booked route.

Train operators are working to return to their scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel.

Some trains in the area will still be disrupted, and your journey may take up to at least 45 minutes longer than usual.

Please be aware that due to our crew and trains not being where they should be, trains are likely to be cancelled or revised.

You can still travel on the following services at no extra cost:

  • Southern services between Gatwick Airport, Lewes and Brighton

  • Thameslink services between Gatwick Airport and Brighton

  • Gatwick Express services between Gatwick Airport and Brighton

  • Metrobus on the following routes:

    • 270 between East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Brighton

    • 272 between Three Bridges, Haywards Heath, Wivelsfield, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Brighton

There had been a report of a fault on a train, and this is now causing delays to other services travelling through this area.
