Description
A tree blocking the railway at Hedge End is causing disruption to South Western Railway services running between Eastleigh and Fareham. Whilst all lines are currently blocked, trains between these stations may be revised.
Disruption is expected until 17:00.
Customer advice:
Response teams are on their way to site. We don't know when the line is expected to reopen.
To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following:
Great Western Railway services between Southampton Central and Portsmouth & Southsea in both directions (please note, there is an incident affecting services to / from Portsmouth today)
Bluestar buses on the following routes:
3 between Southampton Central, Bitterne, Hedge End, Botley and Eastleigh
14 between Southampton Central, Bitterne and Hedge End
24 between Eastleigh, Southampton Airport Parkway and Hedge End
Replacement road transport has been requested to shuttle between Eastleigh and Fareham calling at Hedge End and Botley - this is due to be in place around 15:30.
Further ticket arrangements are being organised for you to be able to use your ticket at no extra cost with other train and bus operators. We will let you know when this is in place.
