Disruption between Brockenhurst and Southampton Central until the end of the day

Description

Staff need to check reports of an obstruction on the line between Hinton Admiral and New Milton. As a result, the line towards Southampton Central is blocked. Trains running between Brockenhurst and Southampton Central may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

• The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

• South Western Railway between Bournemouth / Southampton Central and Basingstoke. Trains on this route may be also affected by this disruption

• Great Western Railway between Basingstoke and Oxford via Reading

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

South Western Railway customer advice:

Engineers and response teams are on their way to site. Until checks are carried out trains are unable to run towards Southampton Central from the Bournemouth direction.

Long Distance and mainline Services

Weymouth / Bournemouth to London Waterloo and Bournemouth to Winchester services are currently unable to run towards Southampton Central due to a possible obstruction blocking the line.

How do I get to my destination?

At the moment trains are unable to run between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst in the direction towards Southampton Central. Due to this trains towards Bournemouth and Weymouth may have to end their journeys earlier due to the backlog of trains. This means that there will be delays and cancellations to these services. Please do keep checking journey planners. South Western Railway are now also in the process of arranging rail replacement buses between Bournemouth and Southampton Central and we will update when these are confirmed.

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on CrossCountry services between Basingstoke and Bournemouth. Trains on this route may be also affected by this disruption.
