Between Exeter St Davids / Honiton and Salisbury

Description

Signalling problems between Exeter St Davids and Honiton, and also between Gillingham (Dorset) and Salisbury means some lines are blocked. Trains running between Exeter St Davids and Salisbury may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

South Western Railway are currently experiencing signalling issues between Gillingham (Dorset) and Salisbury, which means trains running on our West of England route may be heavily disrupted.

Engineers are onsite and have found the cause of the fault. The line is now closed between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction for engineers to complete the repairs and this is expected to reopen at 18:00.

As a result:

Services between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction / Exeter St Davids will be diverted via Westbury and will not call at Tisbury, Gillingham, Templecombe, Sherborne.

Services between Exeter St Davids and Yeovil Junction / Salisbury will be diverted via Westbury and will not call at Sherborne, Templecombe, Gillingham, Tisbury.

  • Stagecoach South West 1 and 1A between Exeter Central - Pinhoe - Broadclyst (near Cranbrook)

  • Stagecoach South West 4 between Exeter stations and Cranbrook

  • Stagecoach South West 9 between Honiton and Exeter Central (long route via Sidmouth)

  • Stagecoach South West 44 and 44A between Axminster - Honiton - Cranbrook - Exeter Central
