Description

Lines have reopened following a points failure between Kennett and Newmarket. Trains running between these stations may still be cancelled or revised.

This is expected until 11:30.

Customer advice:

Due to an earlier points failure near Kennett, trains have been unable to run from Kennett, towards Newmarket and Cambridge. The line is now open again.

Service Impact:

Services running from Ipswich to Cambridge have been disrupted.

Network Rail engineers have now fixed the fault and the line has reopened.

The first train to run from Ipswich will be the 09:21 Ipswich to Cambridge service.

This will then form the 10:48 Cambridge to Ipswich service.

Passengers looking to travel from between Ipswich and Cambridge are advised to travel via Norwich.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
