Description

The emergency services have completed their work following an earlier incident where a person was hit by a train. This has allowed all lines between Kettering and Leicester to reopen. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, diverted or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

Customer Advice:

Where possible, services will divert between Leicester and Kettering adding up to 30 minutes to your journey time.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:

  • Alternate East Midlands Railway services between Grantham and Nottingham

  • LNER between Doncaster and London Kings Cross

East Midlands Railway have rail replacement buses running between Kettering and Leicester, calling at Market Harborough.

If you hold an ‘Advance Ticket’ which is usually valid on a specific train you may use it to travel on any East Midlands Railway service on this route.
