Between Liskeard and Looe

Description

Some urgent repairs to the track between Liskeard and Looe are required, closing the line running between these stations.

As a result, trains are currently unable to operate on this line.

This is expected until 15:00.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport has been requested to operate. You will be updated here once these are confirmed.

If you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting tickets, please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to the Great Western Railway team to claim for a refund.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

If you require help or further information, please speak with staff at the station or on the train, or use the help points on the platforms, where available.

You may wish to consider postponing your journey until service returns to normal.

Additional information:

A suspected track defect has been identified on the line between Liskeard and Looe. Trains are not able to run over the affected area until the line has been inspected and deemed safe for trains to operate.
