Description
All lines have now reopened following an earlier trespass incident between Bolton and Preston. Trains running between these stations may continue to be delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 20:00.
Avanti West Coast services are diverting via Bolton due to engineering works taking place between Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western.

Train services are able to run between Bolton and Lostock (in both directions).
Northern services between Rochdale - Blackburn / Clitheroe are not affected.
