Description

The emergency services have completed their work following an earlier incident. This has allowed all lines between Luton and Bedford to reopen. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 05:00.

Thameslink customer advice:

Following the earlier emergency services incident, all lines between Luton and Bedford have now reopened. However due to this incident services due to run to or from Bedford may be subject to delays of up to 60 minutes or cancellations.

If you have not yet started your journey, you are still advised to check ahead and consider delaying your travel until later this morning if possible. If you must travel now, please allow up to an extra 60 minutes to complete your journey.

If you can't get all the way to your destination tonight:

Operators won't leave you stranded. Please travel as far as you can towards your destination, either by train or by using an alternative route.

When you've made your journey as far as possible, please speak to station staff, where available.

If there are no staff, you can use the emergency button on the station help point at stations run by Southern, Thameslink or Great Northern. At stations which are run by other train companies, please use the information button on the help point, and the message will be passed through to Thameslink.

Alternative transport will be arranged, but this may take some time to arrive.
