Description
A broken down freight train between Winchester and Micheldever means that the line towards Basingstoke is blocked. Trains running between Winchester and Basingstoke may be delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
South Western Railway customer advice:
The train crew on the broken down service are in contact with their fleet maintenance team and are working to resolve the issue.
A plan is being worked on that will allow trains to run on an alternate line, which would mean that some services will be able to run in the direction of Basingstoke. Currently it is not known when the line will reopen.
Once the line between Winchester and Micheldever reopens, the listed ticket acceptance below will be available to help affected passengers complete their journeys.

Rail replacement buses have been requested but have not yet been confirmed by our supplier.
