Lines between London Victoria and East Croydon have reopened now and trains are running once more in this area, but delays of up to 20 / 30 minutes can be expected.

If you wish to travel in this area at this time, Southern and Thameslink cannot guarantee you will be able to make your journey by train and you should use an alternative route of travel, which could extend your journey time by around 60 minutes. Alternatively, please wait for the next available train service to get to where you need to be.

If you're waiting on a train which is delayed between stations:

If your train is delayed between stations, please remain where you are and listen to announcements, or speak to staff for further information. Southern and Thameslink get you moving as soon as possible. They are aware of your location, and their teams will be doing everything they can to help you continue your journey.

Please don't leave the train unless you are asked to do so. Other trains may still be moving in the area, and the track is also a very hazardous environment. In areas where the trains are powered by an electric third rail, this usually stays live and dangerous during incidents, and looks the same as other rails.

Planning your journey:

You can view a live map of the network. This will now show where your journey is likely to be disrupted.

You can also use Southern and Thameslink app to get more information about your journey.
