Customer advice:
Rail replacement transport will be provided as a taxi, which will allow you to continue your journey. Please wait for the taxis at the rail replacement bus stops. More information will be provided once this has been confirmed.
Additional information:
We have had reports of flooding in the Goonbarrow area. When flood water rises above certain levels trains may have to reduce their speed or, in this case, be unable to run through the affected area. This is because debris may have moved onto the rails, or the ground underneath the track may have washed away. Flooding can also affect the power supply to the signalling systems or the overhead power lines the trains use.
Network Rail will need to examine the line after the water levels have receded. Great Western Railway are working with Network Rail to be able to return to running the normal timetable as soon as possible.
