Between Par and Newquay

Description

Flooding of the line between Par and Newquay means that the line is blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations will be cancelled.

This is until approximately 16:00.

Customer advice:

Network Rail will inspect the line at around 15:00, and they should then know if the water level has dropped enough for trains to be able to run again.

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following Transport for Cornwall routes:

  • 21 and 21A between Newquay (Bus Station) and St Austell, calling at Quintrell Downs (Quintrell Close)and St Columb Road (Co-op)

  • 25 between Par and St Austell

Great Western Railway have requested taxis to run between Par and Newquay, in both directions, via stations. These are now showing in online journey planners.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

Additional information:

The railway line through Roche station is flooded. Until the water level drops Great Western Railway cannot run trains between Par and Newquay, in either direction.
