Between London Paddington / Par and Newquay

Description

A broken down train between Par and Newquay means that fewer services are able to run.

As a result, some trains between these stations may be cancelled.

This is expected until 20:30.

Customer advice:

At present, there are no available trains to provide an hourly service to Newquay. Therefore, a 2-hourly service to Newquay will operate instead.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

Great Western Railway have requested local bus ticket acceptance. Once confirmed, you'll be updated here.

During this disruption, if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting Great Western Railway tickets please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to Great Western Railway to claim for a refund.

You may wish to consider postponing your journey until service returns to normal.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
