Between London Liverpool Street and Norwich

Description

Lines have reopened following earlier overhead wire problem between Diss and Norwich. As service recovers, trains running to / from these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Greater Anglia received reports of an overhead wire tripping between Diss and Norwich and because of this, train services between Liverpool Street and Norwich have been disrupted.

Network Rail response team were called to attend and found a tree resting on the overhead wire. They have now removed the tree and train services are now able to run through as normal.

However, due to the disruption caused, some services may still be delayed or altered at short notice whilst we work to bring the train service to normal.

Unfortunately due to bus operators on other commitments, Greater Anglia have been unable to source rail replacement buses between Norwich and Diss. They are still looking further afield and will inform you as soon as they are successful in acquiring some buses.
