Description
East Midlands Railway are experiencing a shortage of train guards today. This is impacting their services running between Liverpool Lime Street and Nottingham / Norwich.
As a result of this, trains on this route may be cancelled or revised for the remainder of the day today.

How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned, however, your journey may take up to 30 minutes longer if you are travelling on an alternative train, or up to 60 minutes longer if you are on a rail replacement bus service.
Your tickets can be used at no extra cost on the following services:
Northern between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester stations, and also between Sheffield and Nottingham
TransPennine Express between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester stations
If you were originally travelling on the cancelled 17:51 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich service and plan to travel beyond Nottingham, please board the 18:50 Liverpool Lime Street to Nottingham service. There will be a bus at Nottingham waiting to take you to Grantham and Peterborough. Another bus will be waiting at Peterborough to take you to Ely, Thetford and Norwich. These bus services will be drop off only.
If you were expecting to travel on the 17:51 and had connections for Leicester and London St Pancras International, your ticket can be used at no extra cost with Avanti West Coast and CrossCountry. Please travel on Avant West Coast's 19:15 service from Manchester Piccadilly to Nuneaton. You can change at Nuneaton for CrossCountry services through to Leicester to connect with East Midlands Railway's last service to London St Pancras International.
If you were originally travelling on the cancelled 20:13 Norwich to Nottingham service, your ticket can be used at no extra cost to travel to Ely with Greater Anglia on their 19:27 service, or their 21:10 service. A bus will be waiting at Ely for the arrival of the 21:10 service and will call at Peterborough, Grantham and Nottingham.
An additional bus will run at 21:50 from Peterborough, calling at Grantham and Nottingham.
If you are at Manchester Piccadilly and are travelling to Ipswich, your ticket can used at no extra cost with Avanti West Coast on their 18:55 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston service. You can then travel at no extra cost on Greater Anglia's 22:30 service from London Liverpool Street to Ipswich.
As it is late in the day, the number of connecting trains are limited. If you have already started our journey, every effort will be made to get you to your destination by rail.
