Trains between East Grinstead and London Bridge
Description
Following a train hitting an obstruction on the line between East Grinstead and Oxted means all lines have now reopened. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 11:00.
Customer advice:
Services can now run to / from East Grinstead normally again.
However, some services running from East Grinstead have started at Hurst Green instead, and services running to East Grinstead have terminated and Hurst Green instead.
For journeys to / from East Grinstead, Dormans and Lingfield, please check before you travel this morning. For most journeys, you should now be able to travel using your usual route, but you may need to take a different train than planned or change trains in order to complete your journey.
If your planned train is affected then you should allow an extra 15-20 minutes travel time to account for this.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Earlier this morning, we were advised that a train had hit a tree in the Dormans area, and had come to a stand as a result. Network Rail teams have attended and removed the tree, and the train has been confirmed as safe to continue in service. All lines have now reopened.
