Description

Lines have now reopened following a points failure at Plymouth. However, whilst service recovers, trains running through the station may be delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:30.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Penzance and Worcestershire Parkway, via Plymouth, Exeter St Davids, Taunton, Bristol Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham Spa.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

During this disruption if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting Great Western Railway tickets please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to claim for a refund.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
