Can you tell me more about the incident?

Shortly before 10:00, a London bound service passing through Polegate reported a rough ride in the area, which may indicate a problem with the tracks. A subsequent train has inspected the area, and reports similar problems. The driver has identified the possible cause, and Network Rail (who manage and maintain the tracks) are dispatching a team to site to investigate.

Until they arrive and investigate / resolve the issue, trains running from Eastbourne towards Lewes will run at a reduced speed of 20 mph over the affected section.
