Between London Liverpool Street and Southminster / Southend Victoria
Description
All lines have now reopened following a tree on the railway at Prittlewell. Trains running between Wickford and Southminster / Southend Victoria may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 10:00.
Customer advice:
Earlier this morning we received reports of a tree which had come in contact with the overhead electric wires in the Prittlewell area, which was causing electrical supply problems. Network Rail engineers have now removed the tree and all lines have reopened.
In addition, for everyone's safety, there a number of speed restrictions between Shenfield and Southend Victoria today owing to the hot weather which may delay trains.
Trains are now able to run from London Liverpool Street / Wickford to Southend Victoria and also between Wickford and Southminster. However due to train and crew displacements, services will still be disrupted whilst Greater Anglia work towards restoring the train service to the booked timetable.
Please be prepared for a delay to your journey. You may need to take a different train than originally planned.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:
