Description
Following a trespass incident between Gatwick Airport and Redhill / Purley all lines have reopened. Whilst service recovers, trains running between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink customer advice:
Trains can now run between Gatwick Airport and Purley once again; however, trains in the area remain significantly delayed.
Staff are working to return to the scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel. Your journey may still take at least 30 minutes longer than usual.

Train operator's won't leave you stranded. Please travel as far as you can towards your destination, either by train or by using an alternative route.

A trespass incident has been reported in the Horley area, and trains have been stopped for safety. Emergency services and Network Rail are on-site to remove the person.
Trespassing on the railway is extremely dangerous. Trains run at all times, often without warning, and many areas have high-voltage third rails, steep drops, and other hazards.
It is also illegal, with serious penalties for obstructing the railway.
