Description

Lines have reopened following a safety inspection of the track between Raynes Park and Wimbledon. As service recovers, trains running towards Wimbledon may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 23:00.

What South Western Railway are doing about it:

Response teams have finished all their checks at Raynes Park, and all lines have now reopened. Trains are moving again through the area, but several delays are still affecting services while South Western Railway work to restore the timetable.

Services affected:

• Suburban services:

Trains between Chessington South, Guildford via Epsom or Cobham, Woking via Esher, Hampton Court may be subject to delays, last minute alterations or cancellations.

• Windsor and Reading services:

Trains between Shepperton and London Waterloo, will be diverted between Fulwell and Clapham Junction, calling additionally at Strawberry Hill and Twickenham. Trains between Strawberry Hill / Teddington and London Waterloo may be subject to delays, last minute alterations or cancellations.

• Long distance and mainline services:

Trains between Weymouth, Bournemouth, Exeter St Davids, Basingstoke, Alton, Portsmouth via Eastleigh and Guildford, Salisbury and London Waterloo may be subject to delays as they are passing through the area.

Disruption is still affecting the services listed above. If your journey involves travelling between London Waterloo and Raynes Park, please check before you travel, as trains may continue to be delayed, altered at short notice, or cancelled while the service is restored.

Some services may also be affected by crew and train displacement, which can add further delays while South Western Railway put everything back in the correct place.

Bus services:

• London Buses on routes between Wimbledon – Raynes Park – Surbiton – Chessington South – Hampton Court – Motspur Park – Worcester Park – Epsom – Leatherhead – Dorking (in both directions)

Train services:

• London Underground services between Wimbledon/ Vauxhall and London Waterloo (in both directions)
