Description

Lines have now reopened following an object being caught in the overhead electric wires in the Southall area earlier today.

However, there is a fault with the signalling system at Heathrow Terminal 4 which is causing further disruption to journeys running on the route between Heathrow Airport and London Paddington.

As a result of both of these issues, trains running between Reading / Heathrow Airport and London Paddington may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, revised or diverted.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

Elizabeth line customer advice:

A reduced service is in operation between Heathrow Terminal 4 and Abbey Wood.

The remaining trains that would ordinarily serve Heathrow Terminal 4 will either terminate short at Hayes & Harlington, or be diverted to West Drayton.

Additional information:

Platform 2 is currently out of use at Heathrow Terminal 4 due to a signalling issue. Trains will be revised or diverted whilst staff work to fix the issue to avoid congestion building up in the area.
