Description

A points failure in the Reading area means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running to / from and through Reading may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Disruption expected until 15:30.

Elizabeth line are no longer affected by this disruption.

You may use your ticket, at no extra cost, on the following services:

• CrossCountry services between Reading and Basingstoke, in both directions. There services are also being affected by this problem

• Reading Buses route buzz 9 between Reading (Station Road) and Reading Green Park (Station)

• Reading Buses routes lime 2, 2a between Reading (Station Road) and Mortimer (St John's Church)

• Reading Buses route jetBlack 1 between Newbury (Wharf), Thatcham (Cropper Close), Midgham (The Angel PH), Aldermaston (Bath Road), Theale (The Crown PH) and Reading (Station Road)

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
