Gatwick Express / Southern / Thameslink customer advice:
Services are now able to run through the Redhill area.
Services may still be diverted via alternative lines and there will still be some delays and services alterations whilst service returns to normal. This will add around an extra 20-30 minutes to your journey, so please allow extra time to account for this.
A reduced service is currently in place for services between Redhill and Tonbridge due to this incident. It may be quicker to use an alternative route for journeys along this line this morning. Please check before you travel and allow an extra 45 minutes to complete your journey. Can you tell me more about the incident?
Earlier this morning we were advised of an incident on a train at Redhill station, which resulted in the station being evacuated for safety reasons. Trains were being diverted via the "Quarry lines" instead which means that they were unable to call at Redhill and the nearby stations as a result.
